Renting a car and having the freedom to drive and experience different sights and scenery at your own pace can be relaxing and exciting. If you don't already know, in Britain they drive on the "other side" of the road. So, you might want to take it a bit slow on some of those back country roads which, by the way, can be quite narrow at times. Renting or hiring a car in Britain and anywhere in Europe can be very expensive if you do not make reservations in advance here in the States. At the London Travel Center, we have negotiated special car hire discounts and promotions for you to take advantage of. Keep in mind that most of the rentals are with manual transmission, however automatics are available at a higher rate. You can hire a car if you have a major credit card and in most cases you must be over the age of 21. Younger renters may be charged an additional fee.
